Monthly Work Day

Volunteer on our Chiwaukee Prairie Work Days as we to restore quality habitat for prairie plants and animals. All we need is you to help! No experience necessary. On the job training! Dress for the weather, bring work gloves, and protective eyewear. We have tools and the equipment to get the job done. If the weather is warm, be sure to bring plenty of water. Saturday, May 18, we will be pulling Garlic Mustard, Yellow Rocket, and Dames Rocket along 4th Avenue north of 116th Street. The prediction is for sunshine and clouds mixed, with a high near 70 degrees. Winds are expected to be SE at 10 to 15 mph. Wear old clothes in layers, sturdy shoes or boots, hats and gloves. Ticks are active so consider spray repellant or tucking pants in socks.
