Volunteer Days and Field Trips

Volunteer on our Chiwaukee Prairie Work Days as we restore and manage the prairie.
All we need is you to help! No experience necessary. On the job training!
Dress for the weather, bring work gloves, and protective eyewear. We have tools and the equipment to get the job done. If the weather is hot, be sure to bring plenty of water. We hope to see you there!

Upcoming Work Party Dates/Events:

  • April 16, 2022 – Meet on 2nd Avenue at 122nd Street near the gate.
Saturday, April 16, we will move to a new workday area along 122nd Street. We will clear brush along the edge of the recently burned area on the south side. The prediction is sunshine and clouds mixed, with a high around 45F. Winds are expected to be WNW at 10 to 20 mph. Wear old clothes, long pants and sturdy shoes or boots and gloves. Consider tick proofing, as they are beginning to awaken. We supply tools, water, instructions, and answers to all your questions about the Prairie. The workday is 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Come for part or all of it. We will meet on 2nd Avenue at 122nd Street near the gate.
