Monthly Work Day
November 15, 2025 @ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Volunteer on our Chiwaukee Prairie Work Days as we to restore quality habitat for prairie plants and animals. All we need is you to help! No experience necessary. On the job training! Wear old clothes, sturdy shoes or boots, hats and gloves. We have tools and the equipment to get the job done. If the weather is warm, be sure to bring plenty of water. If you have questions, call Nathan at 262.694.7351. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign-in. We hope to see you there!
On Saturday, November 14 we will be working in the bur oak woods immediately north of 116th Street and west of 4th Avenue. Last winter, dense honeysuckle that were choking the understory flora of bur oaks and were basal treated. Most of the honeysuckle are now dead now and will be removed and stacked in to piles for future burning when there is snow cover.
We will meet along 4th Avenue north of 116th Street. Please park on the east side of 4th Avenue, both south and north of 115th Street.

The workday is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Come for part or all of it. PLEASE: Arrive 10 minutes early to sign-in.
Workday cancellations will be posted on our website and Facebook by 8:00 AM on the workday. If you are unsure whether a workday will take place, please use good judgement when deciding whether or not to attend.
