Monthly Work Day

May 17 @ 10:00 AM 1:00 PM

Volunteer on our Chiwaukee Prairie Work Days as we to restore quality habitat for prairie plants and animals. All we need is you to help! No experience necessary. On the job training! Dress for the weather, bring work gloves, and protective eyewear. We have tools and the equipment to get the job done. If the weather is warm, be sure to bring plenty of water. If you have questions, call Nathan at 262.694.7351. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign-in. We hope to see you there!

Saturday, May 17, we will be pulling Garlic Mustard, Yellow Rocket, and Dame’s Rocket along 4th Avenue north of 116th Street and in the Savanna south of 116th Street. The prediction is for sunshine and clouds mixed, with a high of 64 degrees. Winds are expected to be W at 15 to 25 mph. Wear old clothes in layers, sturdy shoes or boots, hats and gloves. Ticks are active so consider spray repellant or tucking pants in socks. We supply tools, water, instructions, and answers to all your questions about the Prairie.

PLEASE NOTE:
We will meet along 4th Avenue north of 115th Street.
Please park on the east side of 4th Avenue. Click here for a map.
