This Saturday, November 16, we will change activities to basal bark treating several species of small invasive woody brush. No cutting, just treating. We will be working on the south side of the west end of Jim Olson Trail (122nd Street). The prediction is for mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 54 degrees. Winds are expected to be SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Wear old clothes, sturdy shoes or boots, hats and gloves. We supply tools, water, instructions, and answers to all your questions about the Prairie.
Volunteer on our Chiwaukee Prairie Work Days as we to restore quality habitat for prairie plants and animals. All we need is you to help! No experience necessary. On the job training! Dress for the weather, bring work gloves, and protective eyewear. We have tools and the equipment to get the job done. If the weather is warm, be sure to bring plenty of water. If you have questions, call Nathan at 262.694.7351. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign-in. We hope to see you there!
