Extra Work Day
July 27 @ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
To keep up with the invasive plants this summer, we will be holding additional workdays between our regular monthly workdays. The 9:00 AM meeting place will be at 121st Street and 2nd Avenue, please park along 2nd Avenue. Join us for all or part of the workday. What We’re Doing:
We will be removing Queen Anne’s Lace, White Sweet Clover, and a few additional species. Click here to view examples.
What to Bring:
- Appropriate footwear for rough ground. Bring knee high boots if you have them (optional).
- Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
- A daypack, sunscreen, tick repellent, leather gloves, and safety glasses.
- A water bottle(s) and snacks.
There will be a liability and waiver form for volunteers to sign before the start of work. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign-in. We hope to see you there!
