Extra Work Day

UPDATE July 14, 9am… brighter skies here following the storm this morning. We’ll be in the area of the meeting location through almost 10 before heading a bit farther away on the field.

The 9:00 AM meeting place on both these days will be at the intersection of 121st Street and 2nd Avenue. Park on 2nd Avenue. Join us for all or part of the workday. Click here for a map.

What We’re Doing:

We will be removing mainly White Sweet Clover, Queen Anne’s Lace, and Common Mullein. Click here to view examples.

What to Bring: 

• Appropriate footwear for rough ground. If you have knee-high boots (optional), please bring with.
• Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
• A daypack, sunscreen, tick repellent, leather gloves, and safety glasses.
• A water bottle(s) and snacks.

There will be a liability and waiver form for volunteers to sign before the start of work. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign-in. We hope to see you there!

Weather:

The prediction at this time is for mostly sunny skies. Winds on Saturday are expected to be from the south at 6-10 mph with a high temperature of around 84 °F. Sunday winds are expected to be from the southwest at 9-15 mph with a high temperature of around 87 °F.
