Extra Work Day
We will hold an extra workday on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The meeting place will be at 4th Avenue north of 115th Street in the Carol Beach neighborhood of Pleasant Prairie, WI. Please park on the east side of 4th Avenue. Join us for all or part of the workday. Click here for a map.
What We’re Doing:
We will remove garlic mustard, dame’s rocket, and other invasive spring plants from the oak savanna of the Chiwaukee Prairie State Natural Area. Click here for examples.
The forecast is overcast, with showers at times. The high will be 68 °F. WNW winds will shift to ENE at 10 to 15 mph.

PLEASE NOTE:
We will meet along 4th Avenue north of 115th Street.
Please park on the east side of 4th Avenue.
After signing in, we will walk south of 116th Street to the work area. If you arrive late, please call to confirm our location.

- Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
- A daypack, sunscreen, tick repellent, leather gloves, and safety glasses.
- A water bottle(s), a thermos filled with a warm beverage, and snacks.
