Volunteer Days and Field Trips

  1. Volunteer on our Chiwaukee Prairie Work Days as we restore and manage the prairie.
All we need is you to help! No experience necessary. On the job training!
Dress for the weather, bring work gloves, protective eyewear and, if you plan to stay the entire time, bring a lunch for after the work party. We have tools and the equipment to get the job done. If the weather is hot, be sure to bring plenty of water. We hope to see you there!

Chiwaukee South – Work Schedule: 3rd Saturday of each month 10 A.M. – 1 P.M.

    WORKDAY RESCHEDULED
Due to predicted thunderstorms on Saturday, the workday has been be postponed until Sunday, May 21 from 10 AM – 1PM. Meet on 4th Avenue north of 115th Street. The Garlic Mustard will be easy pulling after the rain!

We know Spring has really arrived when the workday shifts from cutting and treating brush to pulling Garlic Mustard. We will be working in the same area where last year we pulled three truck loads and a great deal of garbage. The good news is that there looks to be far less of both than last year, but still plenty of GM to pull. For this Sunday, the weather prediction is partly cloudy and a high around 60 degrees. Dress in old clothes and closed shoes. As always, we provide tools and gloves. The workday is from 10 AM to 1 PM. Come for part or all of it.
We will meet this month on 4th Avenue north of 115th Street.
